Coca Colas' "Share a Coke" Campaign

Coca Cola have recently launched their new "Share a Coke" Campaign in Ireland.
It has taken the country by storm, and is now all over Europe.
Probably one of the most best marketing campaigns I have ever seen, Coca Colas' fantastic  idea was to replace their usual labels in exchange for the names of people on the bottles thus encouraging you to buy one, or to buy one  for a friend (and after purchasing, it seems taking a picture and uploading it to social media to show all your friends has become the new "thing" to do! ) again all adding to Coca Cola's marketing ploy, I suppose there is something empowering about a a bottle of coke with your name on it!

As apart of their campaign, Coca Cola have produced several video advertisements (which I have seen in prime time slots)

Billboard advertisements and  print advertisements have also been a huge part of the campaign.

Coke have hit every angle with this campaign, they have also introduced a Facebook application where you can make your own virtual bottle with your name on it and show it to all your Facebook friends!

You can even text your name to a number to show your name on a bottle on the big screens in town. again attracting more attention to the coke brand.

In austrillia the campaign was also highly sucessfull seeing  5% more people drinking Coca-Cola and an overall increase in sales of 3% since the campaign

A spokesperson from Coca-Cola said “We’re pleased with the campaign’s results thus far, but the highest impact for us has been building brand love, learning from our social media executions and furthering our connections with consumers.”

The sales of Coca Cola have rocketed since the launch of the campaign in Ireland, and they even took it a step further in Dublin with this amazing idea of  using water projection to showcase the campaign.
